Hey y'all.
Thanks for the inquiries and concern. We got out of the way... the house caught a few tall pines, but we have something to rebuild. All immediate family, inlaws, outlaws and close friends are accounted for, so I'm counting my blessings.
We'll post an announcement on the front page when we find a few minutes to noodle around, but...
***to anyone who has placed an order since late August, we've finally got power and internet back and will be running/shipping CD orders very soon***
...truly sorry for the delay.
Thanks again aaaand
Cheers sports fans!,
Ron
P.S. Seems the spambots found the guestbook while we were away. After deleting 200+ entries re: Viagra, Vicodin, penis enlargement pills and various porn sites, we're disabling the "Sign Guestbook" feature until we can figure out a way to block the bots. Sorry for the inconvenience.

movie was so full of bull shit I actually broke my free copy and threw it and all the rest away. Was that "JoJo and the River" or what?? I was the original drummer and I think this site and Ron and the movie are full of shit. Stroking each other's backs and wishing it was something it was not. Shame on y'all. . .

Ron,
My other emails have bounced back.
I've been thinking of you a lot the past few days, and wanted you to
know. Hope you and your family are OK. I cannot believe how terrible this
is. We are all hoping for the best.

Panic is playing right now in Charlotte and i didnt make it out cause i am lame.
Was happy for George when i heard he was joining up with Panic after Houser died.
I graduated from Miss. State in 1992. Used to love seeing Beanland when they came to Starkville. Amazing that two guys from Beanland are now in Panic.

I just watched the Rising from the Riverbed DVD and had one of the greatest nastalgic experiences of my life. It reminded me how cool Mississippi really is and how so many people have misconceptions of what Mississippi is really about. I spent the first 24 years of my life there and now, at 31 I've never been more home sick. Thank you Beanland for providing the CD that was beyond all others, the sountrack to my college experience. And now I've rediscovered what an amazing band you are and that every single song is a classic.

As a journalism major at Ole Miss ('91), I shot and edited a story on Beanland during my last year. Jill Rivet was the reporter. the guys were really fun - George was super nice, and is still a great guy. Anyway, I am happy to present a special treat from the acrhives: a student-produced 6-min piece on Beanland from 1990 or 91, featuring live footage from the Omni New Daisy in Memphis and candid interviews with the guys.
you'll need Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to view.
here's the clip:

Enjoy!

Recently watched "Rising from the Riverbed". Brought back alot of great memories. I spent 1987-91 in Oxford and have spent the last 14 years trying to get back. Saw Beanland at the Double Decker last year and loved it. Dusted off the old Beanland CD and put it in the car. Drive around with a big, fat smile on my face. Always inspired me to play, which I continue to do to this very day. Hanging with Doreatha in Jacktown.

Hi, I was searching the net for my surname and came across this. A band with my surname, which I found interesting and slightly bizarre. So I felt compelled to leave a message to the band, just to say "Nice work lads" and the music is really rather decent.
Much love to the band,
Joanna Beanland.

Ron/Kaye....the site looks great. Good to see the message board up and runnin'! A BIG BIG thanks to everyone that has supported the film. We really appreciate all of the emails and kind words that we have received. The reason we were drawn to Beanland in the first place was the music, so I hope everyone picks up a CD from www.beanland.net. The album is ageless and a classic. Thanks again and hope to see all of you soon !!

Hey folks....finally got around to seeing the film, and it's nice to see the boys get their due as pioneers of a scene that I have been greatful to be a part of for many years.
To all you guys who I don't get to see as often (Bill, J.K., R.G., Lance), be proud of what you've given to so many folks, and the legend you left behind. It may sound hokey, but I mean it!! Take care, and hope to see you all soon.
